what a month...

it's been 

insanely busy

with work

and very hard-

mother's day 

blindsided me

but bits of brightness

have gotten me here-

to the unofficial start of 

summer

wedding

and celebrating love

with raspberry meringue
on top

may is a busy one in our family

my parent's anniversary

mother's day

my mum's birthday

(also my sister's and a few great girlfriends...)

so, while there has been a pathetic lack of blogging

we haven't forgotten to celebrate...

mother's day was spent on cape

with a lovely little luncheon outside

for my mum, mother-in-law and gram-in-law

my father and i prepared

chicken salad bursting from fresh, flaky croissants

a crisp rose (well, not for me!)

 

and a lemon-berry tart for dessert

...

this weekend

 was spent celebrating

this special lady

a bit more

with lunch

a mini bedroom makeover (more soon on that...)

and gardening
