early fall feast
on my way back to providence, i stopped by 4-town farm, one of my all-time favorite places to spend an early fall morning.
my loot included pick-your-own raspberries (which were lucky to make it home!), sweet corn, gourds for the table, heavenly ripe peaches, a rainbow of cherry tomatoes, local little rhody eggs... and a GORGEOUS bouquet of pick-your-own zinnias that look so cheery on my coffee table!
ahhh... a dinner of fresh, local goodness- my take on a nicoise salad, complete with an olga's loaf.
it's good to be home.
housewife love
how lovely is this?!
one part junior league, one part kappa kappa gamma, one part glamorous
i think this would be a perfect wedding shower gift for a certain bride-to-be...

tay's 10th birthday
"tay-tay" and mom
she was so excited that everyone was there to celebrate her!
it was a classic, outdoor, cape cod party; complete with badminton, croquet, a pinata, and homemade mac + cheese!
when i asked her what kind of cake she wanted, i realized very quickly into the conversation ("white, smaller layers on top of bigger ones, on top of bigger ones, with flowers...") that she was talking about a wedding cake! OY! I certainly had my work cut out for me, but i was pleased with the outcome and she was completely THRILLED!
shelter island
desperately needing a little r+r, i went on a little getaway to shelter island, ny to visit some of my favorite little ladies. i babysat for these girls when i was in school in nyc, and they were two of our flower girls in our wedding last summer!
seriously, how chic is cameron?
we spent an afternoon on the beach in southampton
their pee gee hydrangeas were OUT.OF.CONTROL...
ahhhh... fully revived!

celebrating
"lucky" beach rocks
we spent labor day in little compton, ri
celebrating our first year of marriage with biking down the now- quiet roads
and beach walks
with reid quoting from this adorable book from 1965, that sits on my night stand
and a wonderful dinner at the sakonnet point club
it was a perfect, relaxing way to welcome in fall!
