lunch, lately

brunch, really...

plain 0% fage greek yogurt

fresh raspberries

pistachio bits

agave drizzle

and

ice cold coconut water

lunch, lately

quinoa caprese salad

organic vegetable juice

...

this just seems like the perfect lunch

to eat on the back steps

while taking a gardening break

cupcakes, in bloom

i spent last friday baking and decorating 

hydrangea cupcakes

for a springtime bridal shower

...

may is a busy one in our family

my parent's anniversary

mother's day

my mum's birthday

(also my sister's and a few great girlfriends...)

so, while there has been a pathetic lack of blogging

we haven't forgotten to celebrate...

mother's day was spent on cape

with a lovely little luncheon outside

for my mum, mother-in-law and gram-in-law

my father and i prepared

chicken salad bursting from fresh, flaky croissants

a crisp rose (well, not for me!)

 

and a lemon-berry tart for dessert

...

this weekend

 was spent celebrating

this special lady

a bit more

with lunch

a mini bedroom makeover (more soon on that...)

and gardening

lunch, lately

i have to say, i was totally prepared to have CRAZY cravings during my pregnancy

but luckily, i've had no aversions to anything 

and aside from giving into an after-diner scoop of ice cream more often, 

all i really crave is milk, ICE water and citrus- anything! citrus!

lunches tend to be a smorgasbord of left-overs, fresh fruits and veggies and fresh bread...

organic milk, avacado, hummus, sun-dried tomatoes, great harvest high five fiber bread, sliced parmesan

simple goodness- ripe avacado with a drizzle of olive oil, sea salt and pepper, eaten right out of itself!

last week

i made a quick trip

to the big city

to sit as a critic

on the parsons senior thesis presentation panel for childrenswear

 insanely impressive work coming from those kids, let me tell you!

being in my old stomping grounds always gets the inspiration pumping...

of course, i couldn't resist lunch at le pain quotidien

still craving another glass of mint lemonade!

all things glam- peonies, vogue and diptyque

capped off with an evening catching up with great girlfriends...
