just back from our fantastic get-away to New Orleans for the jazz festival...
the city is just amazing- full of gorgeous architecture, yummy food, inspired stores and of course, FANTASTIC live music.
these pictures are far from professional, just snaps of my favorite parts of the trip...
ahhh, southern architecture- gorgeous!
and the porches? hell-o! hanging plants, mosses, ferns and flowers...
outside one of my favorite shops, perch, on magazine street
the french quarter
one of the best finds of the trip... local dive bar, Vaughn's, where Kermit Ruffins plays every Thursday night... but only AFTER he cooks up a complementary BBQ for the crowd! check out that roof that is built AROUND the telephone pole. awesome.
and at the actual fest... dave matthews band playing to over 200,000 people...
sucre. perhaps the best designed sweet shoppe i have even stepped into.
it was like a little girl's dream-world. only real.
still drooling from the gelato.
my husband and i, livin' it up!

So funny - did you see Sucre and Perch on my blog? Perch was closed so we couldn't go in but I LOVED the vibe in Sucre - such great branding. Glad you had a good time! xo
